Predominantly, they come to life during religious and ceremonial dances. When donned by a chosen few, be it priests, shamans, or designated dancers, the mask transcends its wooden form. 

The individual wearing it is believed to become a conduit, channelling the very essence of the spirit or deity it represents. This transformation is not taken lightly; wearing the mask is a weighty responsibility, and only specific members of the community are entrusted with this honour. 

Beyond the dance and ceremony, these masks find a cherished place within the homes of the tribespeople. Their mere presence is said to invoke the spirits or deities, standing as vigilant sentinels against malevolent forces.

Through these practices, the masks continue their silent vigil, guarding homes and hearts across generations.
