Packaging & Recycling Guide
We put a lot of care into choosing materials that feel kind to both our pieces and the planet. Still, some protective elements, like plastic films or foam, are sometimes needed to keep fragile items safe until they reach your hands.
That’s why we decided to turn even this part of the journey into something meaningful: a small guide to help us all handle these materials more thoughtfully.
With your help, even the little things can find their way back into the right cycle. ♻️
Most of our boxes, wrapping papers, and filling papers can go straight into the blue bin (Altpapier).
Just peel off any tape or stickers, and they’re ready for a new life.
When we must use bubble wrap or air cushions, these belong in the yellow bin (Gelber Sack / Gelbe Tonne).
If they’re clean and dry, they can be recycled or reused for your own parcels or storage.
For the rare times we need Styropor to protect delicate pieces, please dispose of it properly:
Clean, small pieces belong in the yellow bin (Gelber Sack / Gelbe Tonne).
Larger blocks can be taken to your local Wertstoffhof (recycling center).
You’ll often find wood wool, paper straw, or corn starch chips inside your parcel.
They can go to the organic waste (Biotonne) or even into your compost.
Some items arrive wrapped in cotton, jute, or kraft pouches — we’d love for you to reuse them!
They make perfect travel pouches or gift wraps, continuing the circle of care.
💚 Together for smaller footprints — We’re learning, improving, and rethinking our packaging step by step, and your mindful recycling helps those steps matter. Thank you for walking this path with us. 🌍
