The smoke of the incense is heavier than air, so it will fall dramatically in swirls and twists, through the hole of the special back flow oil burner and down over the item, to pool at the bottom. It is incredible to watch and very relaxing. Light the incense cone and wait until the end glows. Blow out the flame and place the cone in the back flow incense burner. The wonderful scent will fill your home.
